This huge kwilia deck has been one of our favourite projects to date. We used designer schist for the columns and lit them up using strategically placed deck mounted L.E.D lights and also extended the first floor deck giving the client superb views over Ohiwa Harbour. Architect Steven Bilyard designed this amazing deck extension entrusting us to deliver the finished product to his and the clients high standards. We continue to have a great working relationship and now have a similar themed garage for Mikes hot rods in the works.

We safely propped up the roof, removed the supporting framing and inserted the exposed truss we built on site. We then tied it all together with powder coated stainless streel brackets we had cut with a CNC router to archive a perfect finish. Next we mirrored it onto the back wall.
Our attention to detail ensured the schist columns were placed in exactly the right spot and in a perfectly straight line with and even space either side of the stairs.
Our team removed the existing windows, cut the brickwork and replaced with double glazed doors. Giving this home a much needed indoor outdoor flow.
A forever home with an amazing outlook for Kevin & Chris.
This house was designed by Sam Wright from six squares architecture, with a huge living space at the top of the priorities list. Super high stud, raking ceilings with Velux skylights, a mezzanine floor, massive sliding doors and stunning views make this well set out and modern home the perfect place for kevin and Chris to call their forever home.
We built this house while Kevin and Chris were living overseas in Australia. Timing was crucial as it needed to be completed by their return date.
This project used Lvl framing to get a perfectly straight finish, BGC Weather board on a cavity batten system.
We installed 4 Velux skylights to provide natural light to the kitchen/living area.
The custom made laundry cabinets were hidden in a wardrobe fitted with sliding doors and easy to hide when not in use.

Cold, damp and dark bathroom? We can bring it back to life!
Pete and Sarah's existing bathroom was once a dimly lit walk in wardrobe, small outdated shower with a separate room for the toilet. We worked closely with them and came up with a plan to completely modernize and re-style their bathroom. We gutted it, removing all the internal walls and linings so we could start fresh with a full renovation that we completed on time and within budget.

We installed underfloor heating, wall and ceiling insulation and an extraction fan along with well set out lighting to solve the problems they had with there last bathroom.
Increased living space and functionality improved Ben's home!
For this project we added a huge 24m squared of living space to the front of the house. This was so that the client could benefit from increased space internally along with re locating his kitchen and re vamping his living area. We then built a deck and veranda further improving the functionality of this home. Careful planning and constant communication was required between us and the client during this project as the client was living at the property while the work was being carried out.

We completed the addition without disturbing the existing building as the owner was living inside at the time.
Adding insulation and double glazing helped retain heat in the home.
David and Renee love entertaining but didn't have the space.
David and Renee love entertaining and inviting the family over for BBQs but had a massive problem when they moved into their new home. The house offered limited outdoor living space with a tiny existing deck barely big enough for a BBQ and a couple of chairs. Along with architect Steven Billyard came up with a solution and a plan was soon put into action with a massive deck addition to the front of the house.
We used products that matched the existing building along with skilled carpentry we made this addition blend in and look like it was always there.
The owners were stoked with the finished result and were so happy they were able to live safely on site during the building process.
The existing deck was removed. We poured massive concrete footings and re paved overtop.
We had the structural steel made off site then carefully craned into place.

Finished with stunning gold Garapa decking. High attention to detail was used in the finishing stages with well set out balustrades, horizontal battens and fully warping any exposed framing timber achieving an exceptional look. David and Renee were over the moon.
